INSIGHT MEDITATION & HYPNOTHERAPY

Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a deep state of trance-like relaxation. When the body relaxes so too does the conscious mind, which allows for an effortless state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility.

In the relaxed hypnotic state, you can more easily access your subconscious. The subconscious is the part of the mind in which one is not fully aware but which influences one's actions and feelings.  Everything you have learned in life since you were born is stored and recorded in your subconscious.

Therefore, by relaxing into the hypnotic state you get to access the place where all your beliefs are stored. Beliefs form our habits. Habits form our behaviour.

The hypnotic experience feels similar to the state just before you drift off to sleep or something akin to a daydream.

It is completely safe and no one can be hypnotised against their will. It's important to know that although you're more open to suggestion during hypnosis, you don't lose control over your behaviour.

So through hypnosis, we can modify or change our behaviours in an effortless way through suggestion and visualisation. This can be a highly effective therapy and healing practice.

I work with clients via Zoom and in person to help them alter and manage behaviours including stress and anxiety, habit control including smoking and weight management, sleep issues, phobias, inner child work, pain control and health concerns, learning/creativity improvement and deepening meditation practice.

The truth is that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis and the hypnotherapist’s role is simply to guide the client through the process. There is no mystery or magic to it but there can be so many benefits.

I am a Certified Hypnotherapist, having received my training through the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy.

My interest in hypnotherapy started as a child when I was taught self-hypnosis. As with meditation, my main reason for offering hypnosis is that I have experienced and witnessed its real-life benefits, and feel compelled to share this modality with others.

What does it feel like and is it safe?

What Clients Say:

“I’ve had anxiety and panic attacks while driving for several years.  After finding that traditional cognitive behavioral therapy and medication weren’t helping, I tried hypnosis sessions with Ben. I have seen massive progress over just a few sessions and can’t speak highly enough of how effective it has been in finding and eliminating the root of the problem. Ben has a sharp intuition about leading you to find the answer within yourself.”

DA

"Insomnia has been an ever present battle since I was a teenager, but all it took was one single hypnosis session with Ben to break the cycle of an entire adulthood spent chasing sleep only to be convinced that rest was not something I was capable of or deserved as an artist. Ben walked me through subconscious road blocks I never considered, gave me a new road map to arrive in the space of relaxation and rest that DOES exist for me, and I slept more in the first week after our session than I had in the last month combined. It was kind of like not being sure you believe in miracles and getting one anyway.”
